Annual maintenance contracts · S/X-band earth stations
We keep satellite ground stations tracking.
On-site maintenance for remote sensing earth stations: antenna and pedestal, servo, RF and tracking, timing, cabling and the commanding chain. Resident engineers on your site, night passes included.
02
What we maintain, in signal order
A remote sensing station is one chain: the antenna points, the servo holds it on the satellite, RF turns the downlink into data, timing keeps it all on schedule. We look after every link in it, including the uplink side.
-
1
Antenna and pedestal
The structure and drive train that point the dish.
Cassegrain main and sub-reflector · feed and hub assemblies · azimuth and elevation gearboxes · slew ring bearings · brakes, torque limiters, limit switches · stow locks · counterweights
-
2
Servo control
The closed loop that keeps the antenna on the satellite, in auto-track or program-track.
PMAC / UMAC motion controllers · servo drive amplifiers · AC servo motors · encoders · ACU, ADU and LCU panels · emergency and limit boxes · station control computer
-
3
RF and tracking
From the monopulse feed to raw data out of the demodulator.
S/X-band monopulse feed · LNAs · down and up converters · DPCs · demodulators and bit synchronisers · tracking receivers · dehydrators · signal and spectrum analysers
-
4
Timing
Station time that every pass schedule depends on.
GPS receiver and time code generator · serial time distribution unit · remote display units
-
5
Cabling and network
Everything that connects the antenna to the shelter and the sub-systems to each other.
Antenna OFC runs · coaxial interconnects · switches and routers · SFP transceivers
-
6
Commanding (AOS)
The uplink side: acquiring the satellite and sending commands.
Solid state power amplifier · TTC processor · S-band up/down converters · uplink control unit · station tracking computer · real time processor · ground station operations console
03
How a maintenance contract runs
Non-comprehensive or comprehensive, the routine is the same. Written down here so you know what you are buying.
- 01
We visit before we quote
We walk the station with your engineers and note how each antenna chain differs. Two antennas that look alike often have different servo and RF hardware, and the price should reflect what is actually installed.
- 02
A resident team on your site
Engineers and technicians stationed at the station in working hours, an engineer and a technician for night passes, and a senior specialist visiting on a fixed schedule. Team size follows your pass schedule.
- 03
Preventive work to the book
Routine, periodic and preventive maintenance follows the schedules in your NRSC, OEM and station manuals. Every job and every fault goes into a log we keep jointly with your team.
- 04
When something fails
Work starts within 30 minutes of a reported fault. First we get the minimum configuration receiving data again, so passes are not lost, then we finish the full repair.
- 05
Spares, repairs and tools
Defective parts and PCBs are repaired using the spares you hold. New spares are acceptance-tested with your engineers before they go on the shelf. We bring our own tools and test equipment.
- 06
Handover
At the end of the contract the station goes back to you fully serviceable, with the complete maintenance log.
04
The service standard we work to
- 30min
- From a reported fault to work starting on it.
- 6h
- To bring back the minimum configuration needed to receive satellite data.
- 98%
- Monthly system availability we plan for, and report against.
- Every pass
- Day and night, weekends and holidays. Satellites don't keep office hours.

Working inside defence and government establishments
Many earth stations sit inside secure sites. The rules that come with that are part of the job, not an inconvenience.
What we see stays on site
Every engineer, resident or visiting, signs a security undertaking. No documents are copied or taken out without written permission.
Equipment is repaired where it is installed
If an assembly has to leave the site for repair, it goes only with your approval, and we arrange and pay for the transport.
Our people, our responsibility
We train our engineers on your systems and insure them at our own cost.
OEM back-end support
Where a sub-system has an OEM representative in India, we line up their back-end support as part of the contract. [List OEM arrangements in place]

Before you shortlist us
Technical evaluation boards ask for the same evidence every time. This is what we will put in front of yours.
| Evidence | What it shows | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Earth station maintenance contracts | Which systems, at which stations, for how long | [Add references] |
| Engineer qualifications | Degrees, S/X-band training records, years on ground station systems | [Add] |
| Sub-system experience | Servo, RF and tracking, Cassegrain antennas, control systems, one by one | [Add] |
| Repair facility | Where PCBs and assemblies are repaired, and what test equipment is there | [New Delhi address] |
| Spares arrangements | How we source spares and which OEMs we work with | [Add] |
| Financial standing | Audited statements to show we can carry a year-long contract | [Add] |

Tell us about your station
A short note is enough to start. These five details let us come to the site visit prepared:
- Station location
- Antenna size and bands (for example 7.5 m, S/X)
- Make of the servo and RF equipment
- Passes per day, and whether there are night passes
- When your current contract ends
